Our 7th Wedding Anniversary

Our 7th Wedding Anniversary

Hello Lovelies,

Today is our 7th wedding anniversary. Where has this time gone?

My husband, my best friend, Paul has stuck by me through thick and thin and been my rock during some of the darkest days I could ever imagine. We have shared the ups and downs of married life and I am very proud to be called his wife.

We married once in 2006 in a beautiful intimate ceremony aged 23 at a rural castle in the borders of Northumberland. We renewed our Wedding Vows in 2013 in Las Vegas and I would go on marrying him every year until the end of time despite half the time he makes me want to tear my hair out.

A bit of a wonky sneaky shot of a framed piece I got us for our Anniversary. We got married in Otterburn you see.

Yesterday we spent the day at beautiful Rockliffe Hall in their spa. Some much needed TLC and relaxing time and tomorrow we are going to see Cirque du Soleil as we didn’t get to see it on our honeymoon and didn’t have time to see it in May when we renewed.

Paul, my beautiful husband, I love you more today than the first day I met you, but only half as much as I will love you tomorrow.

Come join me at Keepers Mate

Come join me at Keepers Mate

 Hello Lovelies,

I am very proud to announce that I have become a contributor for www.keepersmate.co.uk.The premier source for Gamekeepers, Beaters and Guns.

I shoot, I am not going to hide this fact, regardless of others views on it, I don’t think Clay disks have feelings?

Over on Keepers Mate I will be providing a womans touch with look books, product reviews, recommendations and whatever else comes my way.

I truly feel it is important to make a stand as a woman in a heavily male dominated sport and get us recognised as a lot of products or clothing is just not suitable for women.

Paul giving my Mam some pointers about eye dominance!

Country sports have been a part of my life for a very long time, whether it is shooting, dog trials or fishing, I am usually there! I have shared a couple of pictures before of us off roading so as much as I am obsessed with fashion + beauty, I certainly have some very abstract interests.

Ombre and New Look knitwear!

I will be interspersing my reviews and articles here, on www.ladyfromatramp.co.uk as well as over on Keepers Mate but don’t worry, my usual content isn’t going anywhere!

Anyways, big happy cheers for me being a contributor right?!

HUZZAH!

Wall art featuring Purdey Shotguns, Elvis + Route 66!

Wall art featuring Purdey Shotguns, Elvis + Route 66!

Hello Lovelies,

As you can probably tell, I like to steer away from mainstream style and current trends where possible and that certainly applies to my home décor too. My kitchen and dining room is currently a very bright lime green colour, off set by dark walnut units, a large black fridge, a walnut table and black leather chairs. The flooring is black + white check with sparkly black bits. On the wall above my dining table, I have covered it in my favourite home wares obsession – retro and vintage tin signs. Tying in with accessories around the kitchen, I adore my vintage style diner set up. It is very fitting to our tastes and it bucks the trend of what is expected.

The Route 66 plaque is actually from Route 66, Kingman Arizona to be precise. The waitress decal was custom made from an Ebay seller and I just couldn’t resist. The Kit-Cat clock (a gift from Paul) is a nod to the Back to the Future films, where it features in the opening scenes of the first film. The calendar is Banksy as I love is work.

The beautiful James Purdey & Sons sign is my most recent purchase, as a gift for Paul. It’s a repro vintage image advertising the world famous gun makers. Whilst it is not an official Purdey item, we do own other pieces from their accessories range so I have no problems in owning this. It is a nod to our country ties, particularly our shooting and the fact I am a born + bred country girl.

My collection of wall art does spread further than the first photo but this is the best photo I could get. It is a GREAT conversation piece for guests as they spend ages looking at each piece and it is nice that friends spot plaques and vintage signs and help to add to my collection!

Do you buck the home décor trends or do you follow seasonal trends and update your home style?

Send me your links if you have done a home tour blog post!

Ladies Event with Holland & Holland

Ladies Event with Holland & Holland

Hello Lovelies,

When I go down to London, one of my favourite shops to visit is Holland & Holland. With locations in New York and Moscow, the London flagship store oozes quality and sophistication. The jumpers are just the snuggliest things you could imagine!

The company dates back to 1806 when it was founded by Harris Holland (and is actually owned by the Chanel Group) a lot of the clothing styles and products are a very classic nature. No high trend fast fashion here but well constructed, incredibly well made pieces for outdoor life.

When we visit, while I peruse the clothing goodies, Mr Tramp likes to have a peer in to the Gun Room as Holland & Holland have a world renowned reputation. There is even a brand new concession opened up in Harrods in the 5th floor sports department.

They even collaborated with Range Rover for their very own Holland & Holland edition. You may remember Jeremy Clarkson featuring it on Top Gear… if not… Google it and I dare you not to be impressed!

With this in mind, one of our favourite London shops is having a Ladies Night event, in association with Guns on Pegs.
