Amsterdam – A Photo Diary

Amsterdam Photo Diary

HEREAmsterdam Photo Diary

I recently whisked my Mam away to Amsterdam for a weekend adventure to not only celebrate Mothers Day, but her 63rd Birthday which fell at the same time too.

We went on a DFDS Mini Cruise for £79 (£99 including transfers) and spent a few hours just wandering round central Amsterdam…. There’s not many words to go with this post… and not many photos either as we just enjoyed having some quality Mother Daughter time… and a few naughty giggles at the shop windows!

Stationery from TK MAXX & HomeSense

TK MAXX HomeSense Stationery

Everyone loves pretty stationery right? Everyone has boxes of empty notebooks they have bought on whim…. just in case you need one in the future? No? Just me then!

My absolute favourite place to pick up unique and unusual stationery is TK MAXX / HomeSense. With each store having their own individual stock, you can always find a gem regardless of which store you visit. In fact, the things I buy most from the joint stores are notebooks and hot sauce!

Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

I know, I know, me and cars right? When the lovely people at Hodgson Toyota asked me if I would like to put the all new Toyota RAV4 Hybrid through its paces and I jumped at the chance and  thoroughly enjoyed it!

I had some reservations about a Hybrid car so I was quite nervous but we got on on well, Reg and I (yes I named it!).

Easter gifts for Foodies

Easter gifts for foodies

I’m one of those few rare people who don’t like Easter Eggs and never really have so I always seem to get a small gift instead.

Foodies are easy people to buy for: they’re happiest in the kitchen and are satisfied with perusing a menu or flipping through a recipe book. However, foodies – due the amount of time they spend beside the cooker – tend to have all the vital equipment they need.

Kitchenware and crockery isn’t the smartest gift idea as they’ll likely own everything they could ever need! And, unless they’re being served something they’ve never heard of, it’s probably no use taking them out for dinner. So, if you want to nail the perfect present for your foodie friend, check out these five fantastic ideas…
