When an email lands in my inbox telling me about a huge sale on a cult make up brand I haven’t tried before, who am I to argue? I made my first ColourPop order on a whim as I couldn’t resist their huge range of pretty lipsticks and shimmery eye shadows of joy. Today I’m bringing you 2 of my lip picks.

With several formulas and finishes, I picked up 2 ColourPop Lippiestix to try. A classic deep red, Bitchette and a lighter shade Drop Top.

Both shades are smooth and creamy going on with good pigmentation. The red is a decent 1 coat opaque coverage whilst Drop Top needs 2 swipes to be perfect. I think the ColourPop crème formula and the colour leave it slightly less opaque but it’s no big issue and it’s not hard to work with.

The angle of the tube works as a handy guide for doing your cupids bow and neat lines as I sometimes find rounded bullets are hard to work with precisely.

As with most reds, the staying power far outweighs the lighter shade but that said, the lighter shade can easily be topped up with less care when you are on the go.

I’m pleased I finally tried Colourpop but I wish I had bought more! The eye shadows I have yet to show you are BEAUTIFUL. So stunning, I just want more now!

Ordering from ColourPop was very easy and straightforward and it was shipped at their end very promptly. Of course I had to pay the customs charge but it all balanced out ok with the sale. If you want to order something from ColourPop, I would recommend a mail service such as MyMallBox.

Have you tried ColourPop?
