USA Road Trip 2017

I am less than 1 week away from this years USA road trip holiday and I am giddy with excitement.  My suitcase is getting closer and closer to the front door as the days go by, I am ready for the break!  Unlike my last trip away, it’s just the Husband and I this time. 2 weeks and the open road ahead.

We are starting with a few days in New Orleans before driving up the Mississippi delta to Memphis for my obligatory Graceland tour. I love Elvis, woo! After Memphis we are moving to Nashville for some music and on to Kentucky for the husband to drinks his fill of Bourbon. You can guess who will be driving on those days.  We finish with a few days in Chicago where my family used to live before they moved to New Jersey.

We have a few walking tours planned in New Orleans and some foody stops in Memphis but the rest of the time will just be wandering around and soaking it all in.

We will be in NOLA for 4^th July so we hope to get a little taste of that famous Mardi Gras atmosphere the city is famed for.
