As yesterday marked the official start of Spring, you’ll not be surprised that most people are now thinking of summer holidays. I know I am and this year I have started planning early for a trip to a Mallorca luxury villa.
I haven’t booked a villa before as I quite like the luxury of being waited on hand and foot whilst on a relaxing sun holiday but this year we are trying to plan a group holiday.
Starting on the James Villa’s website, I whittled my list down for Mallorca. With over 200 properties available on the dedicated Mallorca section here on the website I was able to select properties only with pools, air con and wifi. Connectivity is a huge issue when you get a group of IT and Digital professionals all in 1 place!
With a variety of budgets and holiday styles within our group, trying to find a hotel to tick all of our requirements just wasn’t going to happen. The beauty of a villa means we have the privacy of our own accommodation with the facilities to share cooking, shopping and driving duties. Families with children can rest a little easier as they know the surroundings will be a safe place.
As we are forgoing a hotel, we want to keep up the luxury element of the holiday so we are hunting a Mallorca luxury villa. On the James Villa website, you can make your choice from a variety of ranges to suit your own budget, prices start reasonably and can include flights if you wish.
Our main requirements for the group were privacy, luxury and pretty close to a main area.
I have had more holidays in Mallorca than I care to mention but it’s a great Balearic Island to please everyone. Sun, sea and sand as well as a really vivid nightlife for the raving crew. It’s a short flight from all major UK airports which is a god send for the 1 person in the group who has never flown before.
I have been drooling over Villa Finca Ca’n Fiol in Pollensa. Just look at that pool and outdoor dining area. I can smell the sun tan lotion and fruity drinks already!
The resorts of Pollensa, Puerta Pollensa and Alcudia are on the Northern coast of Mallorca and are hugely popular with holiday makers. The website shows how far each villa is away from main amenities such as shops, bars, beaches and the airport which helps you make an informed choice. The key is to pick a property that’s close enough to the buzz to be handy, but far enough away that you can’t hear 20 versions of the latest euro-pop smash hit.
The capital of Mallorca, Palma is around 1hr drive away from the north of the island so it’s great for a day trip.
