Boots Seventeen Rock Hard Couture Nail Effects

Boots Seventeen Rock Hard Couture Nail Effects

Hello Lovelies,

Normally, I don’t fall quite so hard in love with a nail polish but this beauty is the exception.

I bought Bijoux Baby on a whim in Boots the other day as everything was buy 1 get a 2nd half price, so I thought for half price I’d give it a punt.

In the bottle, it doesn’t look like something I would ever consider. It’s a peachy pink and then running through it is the most pretty, complex glitter I have seen in a long while. Green toned gold, rose gold, peach and pink shimmer glitter brings this textured polish ALIVE.

It’s fully opaque in 2 coats and has a rough texture to it. Nothing a good top coat couldn’t solve.

I am having my nails done tonight so I shall be taking this with me and not letting the bottle out of my sight. I swatch all my polishes on blanks and was just so captivated I had to share!

It doesn’t photo as well as I would like but I think even though a couple are out of focus, these photos show all the colours. It’s a true real life beauty.

For £3.99, available from Boots, I think I will be hot footing it back for all the colours.

I’m even sitting at my desk now marvelling at the prettiness of the polish on the nail blank.

Keep an eye out on Instagram for some snaps tonight of this on my nails.

The perfect eyebrow brush from Crown Brush

The perfect eyebrow brush from Crown Brush

Hello Lovelies,

If there is one brush I couldn’t live without…. It’s a brush for my brows. No doubts.
Today, with this in mind, I want to tell you about my favourite eye brow brush – the Crown Brush C158 Angle liner + Spoolie duo.
I had previously been using a Ruby & Millie brush but back in June time, I bought myself the C158.

With a spoolie at one end a  synthetic bristle brush on the other, this brush is an indispensable tool in anyones arsenal. I had never brushed my brows because I am VERY sparse in this department but lordy, after filling in my brows it really makes a world of difference! It’s funny how I’d never contemplated doing something so basic!

The bristle end is perfect for applying my Benefit Browzings. The stiffness means the brow wax is picked up and lightly dispersed through the brows and again, the brush picks up minimal powder to set. Followed by a quick brush and my brows are looking a little more natural instead of filled in which is a good thing because since darkening my blonde down, I need more emphasis on the brows.
The only downside is, if you use the bristle end on a soft eyebrow product it does leave a little bit of fall out in the pan. You can soften the end up by scuffing the back and forth on something firm and wipe clean (I used the inside of my Browzings)
For £2.89 you really can’t go wrong with this brush.

If you would like to try this brush from Crown Brush, take a look HERE for a great discount code

Have you tried Crown Brush before? What would you recommend I buy next?

Perfect A/W ’13 boots with Timberland, Jules B, Clarks and Schuh

Perfect A/W ’13 boots with Timberland, Jules B, Clarks and Schuh

Hello Lovelies,

As autumn, and ultimately winter, draws ever closer, I turn my attention to finding gorgeous boots perfect for kicking russet leaves and keeping my toots warm in the striking cold.

I am a huge fan of chunky, masculine utilitarian boots, paired with a pair of skinny jeans or a girly dress for a hard edge to an outfit.
One of my favourite brands to give me this look is Timberland.  Beautifully crafted, well made and environmentally savvy, the brand delivers beautiful footwear to tickle my fancy time and time again.
This year, Jules B, a boutique in Jesmond, Newcastle upon time has got a great range of boots on offer for both men and women and these are my ultimate favourites.

Don’t worry though, men haven’t been left out this autumn at Jules B, check out these gorgeous men’s boots. The tweed ones would make a great nod to the heritage trend, if worn with a Barbour and cords.
From elsewhere on the web, I am having major boot lust over these beauties too! Oh hurry up pay day, I need them ALL.

How would you style a pair of these chunky boots? Let me know!
