I’d been mulling over an Elvis homage tattoo for a few years so when I bit the bullet in early 2018, a love story with lightning bolts began. When I saw the Coach Lightning Bolt Wallet, I had to have it.
Whilst most Coach items aren’t usually my style, I loved this purse so began the hunt to track it down and own it! Retailing at $275 originally, I managed to pick mine up for a hell of a lot cheaper as it was past season. A great place to find things like this are Brandalley and Monnier Freres.
I prefer the long continental style wallets with their plentiful card slots and space to keep notes flat. I’m a receipt hoarder (which my accountant thanks me for!) so I like a big purse to stuff them all in to.
The leather on the Coach Lightning Bolt Wallet is pebbled and highly durable and long lasting which when you think about how much abuse a purse gets in a bag, is a must. The cream leather on the bolt is wipe clean to keep everything looking swish. The black and cream combo is offset with pops of bright cobalt blue along the zip tape and around the motif.
After a few years of using Kate Spade purses, I have to say the quality of the components on the Coach Lightning Bolt Wallet is definitely superior. The attention to detail on the zippers is on point too.
The only downside is the internal zipper sometimes sticks up and stops the out zip opening but if you remember to just click it down before you zip up, jobs a good’n.
There is currently a sale on the Coach website HERE.
Do you like a jazzy purse or are you a classic kinda gal?
