The Scott Cornwall Colour Restore Chrome Toner has been a life saver. A big shiny hair saver. It turned a salon colour that I hated in to something I couldn’t stop looking at. If you are a blonde with yellow or brassy tones – this is the thing for you!
A couple of weeks ago I broke rank from my usual all over ashy pale blonde and let my stylist talk me in to a root stretch which meant adding a brown dye to the top and feathering it in to the existing blonde.
A foolish mistake, I know.
The brown was far too dark and too warm for my complexion and where it had pulled down in to the blonde, it went an orangey gold colour after the first wash making me look less root stretch and more just lazy. Especially when I had my hair tied up.
I decided to take matters in to my own hands and stock up on Scott Cornwall’s Chrome Toner to inject some silvery coolness in to the brassy parts of my hair. I have a right stubbon mop so I left it on for almost an hour and you can see the results below.
The dark brown dye has cooled down to a more muted natural shade and the brassiness from the top has been knocked out whilst silvery tones have been added. I am in love. I love it. I can’t stop looking at it!
