Recently an email landed in my inbox that wasn’t addressed to me, but Mr Tramp and it made his day!
The lovely people of at Jacamo had reached out to ask if he would like to review one of their extensive range of coats and jackets.
If you didn’t know, Jacamo is part of the JD Williams chain and offers a huge selection of mens clothing in sizes Small to 5xl which just about covers all your needs. They are amazing at taking key trends each season and then translating them in to wearable pieces and showcasing brands who also embrace this.
Mr Tramp chose the Hamnett Gold Blazer (£63) in a charcoal tweed with corduroy collar and elbow patches and faux leather toggle buttons. A good blazer will see the man in your life through all eventualities!
He chose a size XL as he has broad shoulders and the blazer looks fitted on the model. On trying it on, the sizing is extremely generous and he could have done with going down to a M for that snug fitted look. As it is, he can get a thick jumper on under it which is perfect in this weather.
It is nice to see places cutting more generously these days.
The fabric is very thin and pliable which makes the blazer a little more comfortable to wear as tweed blazers can be very rigid until they soften in. However, the fabric does feel a little cheap and not really befitting of the price tag, I’d have said more £40 mark, personally and Mr Tramp was in full agreement saying he’d have been disappointed to have received this from an online order for the price.
