I have always been a little bit hesitant to post this but given that I truly get so many compliments on my choices of scent, I thought it was about time to share my secret. I mostly wear aftershave!
I come out in itchy lumps with a lot of ladies perfume and my nose itches at anything floral and heady. It is seemingly a hereditary thing as Mother Tramp is the same! I can’t actually think of anything worse than being caught by the overzealous sample ladies in my nearest beauty hall. Bleugh, it gives me a migraine!
I love a clean fresh sharp scent. A lot of female fragrances are now heading this way so no one has ever said “you smell like a man”!
My absolute favourite, special occasion fragrance is Chanel Egoiste Platinum.
My daily fragrance that I carry round in my bag is HE by Usher for mid day top ups (who knew he made such nice perfume!). I don’t find it clashes with anything else I start the day with – I am always revitalised and perked up by this refreshing summery scent.
I rotate the rest of the fragrances regularly as the mood takes me.

Amor Amor Tentation was a spur of the moment purchase in a perfume shop in Majorca on our first abroad holiday together. It was an air conditioned shop, we were hot… purchases went down. Happy memories. Ange Ou Demon by Givenchy is a very evocative perfume for me and reminds me old friends and my Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir is a perfect winter perfume as it is warming and cosy and was a very lovely gift from Mr Tramp. I find it a little over powering in the summer heat.
