Fish out of water event at Orvis, Leicester Square, London

Hello Lovelies,

For all you London based readers, Orvis is holding an exciting event in Leicester Square on Friday 12th September.

Orvis  are hosting their first ‘Fish out of Water’ event in the heart of Leicester Square. Starting at 11am, the event is a showcase of all the fly-fishing and outdoor lifestyle brand has to offer.

Joe (otherwise known as 3D Joe & Max) – a street artist who travels the globe creating their artworks for a range of clients including Google, Disney, Reebok, Save the Children and Coca-Cola – will be painting an optical illusion on the pavement of Leicester Square.

The street mural will take the form of a running river, to celebrate Orvis’ wonderful world of fly-fishing.

Orvis plan to dedicate the afternoon to teaching Londoners the art of the sport, as well as informing them of their fantastic travel adventures, spanning from an Alaska fly-fishing trip to a week-long safari in Lower Zambezi National Park. Participants can practice casting for ‘fish’ on the mind-boggling river. There will also be a row-boat as well as casting demonstrations approximately every hour.

Not only will this be taking place on the streets, there is also 20% off in the Regent Street store on Friday too.

Whether you are interested in fishing or not, it is always good to mooch along and learn more as well as seeing Joe’s excellent art work.
