I recently picked up some summer essentials from my favourite NE department store, House of Fraser.
My first job, waaaay back when was actually within the House of Fraser so I am a bit loyal to the old girl. Based in the Metrocentre, you can buy everything from make up to designer handbags to toys and tvs. The prices are great, the range of brands stocked is on point and the Blue Cross sales are always awesome. There is even a Blue Cross event on right now!
Linea, the own brand line from House of Fraser offers affordable pieces with high quality. I picked up a gorgeous vintage inspired bath sheet for (£14) which is perfect for lazy weekends lying in the sun or reserving that sun lounger on holiday with style. The Linea towels always wash well and hold their colour.
Next up I checked out the Linea footwear, again, affordable pieces with high quality and always on trend. These black strappy elasticated sandals (£14) look so chic and a lot more expensive than they are. With a patent heel and a slight shimmer to the elastic, the shoes are sturdy and oh so very comfortable. Looking perfect for both work AND play.
Finally, my last summer essential was this gorgeous pink ombre scarf (£7.50). Made from super acrylic mix, a light summer scarf has a zillion uses. Sarong, picnic blanket, towel, sun shade and draped over the shoulders on an evening or if you are sight seeing. The list does indeed go on and on. This scarf looks gorgeous with a floaty black maxi dress and the black sandals.
