Hair oils are still a heavy hitter in our hair care routines. From taming frizz, fighting flyaways and quenching parched dry ends, oils are here to stay.
Garnier have launched a range of new products aimed straight at us British ladies and our needs. With 7 years of research behind them, the line has launched with a bang and a whopping 21 products.
I have been trying out a fair few high street oils of late and as this was on special offer in Boots, I picked up the Sleek Perfector Oil.
Made with oil of the moment – coconut, the Sleek Perfector Oil promises to resist up 97% humidity, keep hair sleek for up to 72hrs and protect against heat up to 230 degrees.
The oil is quite light in texture and consistency with it being runnier than most with a delicate fragrance. As I have dry processed ends, I apply 1 drop when hair is wet to the mid – ends before drying. 1 drop before styling with heat, and then 1 further drop to tame the ends and polish the finished style.
Without being heavy the oil soaks in to the hair without weighing hair down or looking lank. My hair can handle the 3 drops.
After straightening, my ends don’t feel quite as dry and straw like and doesn’t tangle as much throughout the day.
Not a patch on more ‘high end’ hair oils but for the high street, it is a really great all round every day hair oil that I will probably continue to repurchase for every day use.
Which high street hair oil should I try next?
