Bachs Rescue Balm

Bachs Rescue Balm
Hello Lovelies,

I spend about 14hrs a day chained to a desk using a computer (I know!) so the heels of my hands and my wrists get really dry and parched. I had ran out of hand cream at work so grabbed the Bach Rescue Cream from my stash at home thinking it was a hand cream. Got it to work and just ran with it. I buy a lot of hand creams as and when I see interesting ones or are on offer so I have a fair stash!

Housed in a yellow 50ml tube, the cream combines the essences of 5 flowers with Crab Apple which is cleansing and intensely moisturising.

Crab Apple: Cleansing effect.
Star of Bethlehem: For physical and mental trauma and shock.Clematis: For the tendency to “pass out”, and unconsciousness, being ‘far away’ and not present mentally.Cherry Plum: Fear of mind giving way, verge of breakdown, anger.Impatiens: For irritability, tension and fidgety.Rock Rose: For frozen terror and panic.

The blurb from a website selling Rescue Cream :

Rescue® Remedy Cream is especially beneficial for external traumas and conditions, such as, blows, rashes, chemical burns, bruises, cuts, sprains, diaper rash, burns, razor burns and cuts etc.

Without a particular scent, the cream is thin enough to spread around without friction and soaks in straight away without leaving a greasy film. I have found for all I don’t feel radically different, I have been less stressed with less tension across my shoulders and neck and I haven’t been getting my usual monday headaches (something I have suffered with since school!)

Being almost scent free and non greasy is a great bonus for me as I no longer have greasy streaks on my desk and my house doesn’t shoot off out of my hand!

The cream provides 24hr care for dry, rough or sensitive skin. Whilst I can’t really comment on the 24hr claim, I can say that it hasn’t set off any of my skin allergies as I quite often get red welts under my rings that itch, if I use a harsh hand cream.

On the delicate skin of my wrists, my skin is moist and supple without that dry white cast it gets. I have tattoos on both wrists so I can really tell when my skin is dry as they look dull. The Rescue Cream perks them right back up. The backs of my hands are now insanely soft, like you wouldn’t believe.

Being so impressed with it on my hands, I did a bit of research and realised I could use it on my face too! On the face, due to its lightness and non greasy texture, I use the rescue balm on a morning under my primer to really perk my skin up and deliver the deep moisture hit my skin needs to see me through that long day in the office. It sinks in quick enough not to spoil make up application. Again, no skin allergies on my face either from the Rescue Cream which is a huge bonus and it seems to calm down any angry red patches I have picked up along the way.

I think this has become a firm favourite and addition to my daily routine thanks to it’s kindness to sensitive skin and I have bought a back up to pop in my travel bag as it’s a miracle multi use product.

I love Bach flower remedies, I’ll have to give this one a go as my hands are currently shocking from always being in water.
