Recently a very lovely friend of mine got engaged and asked me to help her plan her wedding seeing as I am now apparently a wedding veteran. To be fair I have had 2 weddings, to the same man I must add!
With a very tight budget in mind it seemed like perfect timing when an email from Dress First landed in my inbox. Dress First (www.dressfirst.com) make each dress to order and being a US based company, the delivery time can vary so it is always best to check in advance using their live chat feature on the site.
The website has an absolute myriad of inexpensive wedding dresses in every conceivable style imaginable! Very reasonably priced for weddings on a budget or even a vow renewal, there is a dress to suit every budget, taste and style. They also offer a great selection of plus size dresses – YAY!
I like quite non-traditional wedding dresses, traditional being your regular white and ivory ‘merginues’ so here are a few of my top picks I have chosen and sent on over to my friend.
All images are click links to take you to the page on the website, for ease.
This is a gorgeous nod to a vintage 50s style dress while still staying firmly away from ‘costume’. Reminds me of Marty McFly’s mams dress from the film when George takes her to the Enchantment under the sea dance!
This looks so much more expensive than it is, it looks like it could be pure vintage lace
And my absolute number 1 favourite is this gorgeous dress. It has a clear nod to the 50s which suits my friends tastes (and mine) and will flatter her figure and style perfectly without busting the budget.
And I had to include this one as it isn’t actually all that dissimilar to my own wedding dress
Not only do they stock wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and mother of the bride outfits, they also stock evening wear and prom dresses. I have a white tie event to attend in the New Year and I haven’t found anything on the high street that is quite formal enough that takes my fancy. This is my top pick from the Dress First website, nothing like killing 2 birds with one stone eh ….
Did you buy your wedding dress online or do you know anyone who has?
* This is a sponsored post but does coincide with my friends engagement and hunt for a budget friendly dress. I have NOT used Dress First before for a purchase
