Footwear Classics from Clarks

Hello Lovelies,

Since the summer I have been desperate for a pair of brogues. Having never found the right fit, colour, shape or price I resigned myself to the fact I was going to remain brogueless.

I finally bought a pair from Clarks, the Hamble in Oak (£54.99) and oh my word I am in love.

I had originally discounted the shoes as my local Clarks is tiny and didn’t stock them so I didn’t want to risk spending over £50 on a pair of shoes online without trying them. Thanks to a lunch time Twitter trawl I discovered you can order shoes on the Clarks website to be sent to the store for either a straight sale or to try on before you buy. This was music to my ears so I ordered a couple of pairs in different widths to make sure I got the perfect pair.

I find brogues quite narrow due to the style around the laces which makes getting a broad forefoot in to them somewhat tricky so I ordered the Hamble’s in wide. They are a great fit! Seriously comfy too. As soon as I put them on I had to text my mam and ask why I didn’t know how comfy Clarks shoes were!

I am a convert to Clarks now, especially as I know I can order a couple of pairs in to the store to try on before selecting the correct ones to buy! The whole process was really simple, I just told the sales assistant at the till I had an order to collect and she asked if I wanted to try them on first. Nothing was a bother. It was also nice to know they have childrens shoe fitting experts in stores as well as their high tech gadgety foot measuring machine – god I used to LOVE having my feet measured in the magic machines when I was a kid. I was desperate to ask for a go but I reigned it in!

Check out my sexy blue socks!

The Hambletons are very well made with a nice grippy crepe-y sole with a solid block heel. The leather is soft to wear and hasn’t needed to be broken in thanks to the cut and the delightful padded insole! Little cushions of heaven for my tootsies! The quality matches the price point and I don’t feel undersold, I think they are very good quality for the price. I have seen similar retail for over £100!

I am so pleased I finally bit the bullet and went with the Hambles and now I need MORE! Maybe the leopard and wine ones next!

There is even a sale on currently, meaning both of the pairs above are reduced to £39.99!! You can check more of their sale shoes here – http://www.clarks.co.uk/womens

Have you tried Clarks shoes before or are you a fan on Brogues?
