Hello Lovelies, If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you will know I recently had an ombre done on my hair. I have gone from a light brown through to dark blonde out to platinum ends. My shampoo needs have certainly changed. Not only do I want to tone the ends and keep them fresh, I also don’t want to use anything that will fade the other darker colours.
To keep my hair in tip top condition and colour, I have been using John Frieda’s Everlasting Blonde colour preserving shampoo + conditioner for blonde hair.
My ends have stayed a fresh, crisp cool colour and with the Everlasting Blonde being a colour preserve shampoo, it hasn’t stripped any of the brown colour or dark blonde toner.
Application is as you would usually expect with both the shampoo and conditioner. I must let you know that these products DO contain SLS though, which I do usually try to avoid but I have to concede that sometimes I need to use them (unfortunately).
The shampoo doesn’t dry my hair out and make it feel like straw which is a bonus. The conditioner is a gentle great every day conditioner. The results are not earth shattering but if you have healthy or mildly dry / damaged hair, this will be perfect for you. I am using it on the middle 1/3 of my hair avoiding my roots combined with an intensive conditioner on my tips.
Priced at £5.99 each from Boots- currently haircare is on 3 for 2 – this is a great colour preserving shampoo for tonal blondes or us blondes who have added a darker colour for ombre’s.
