I want to share with you my new favourite hair care goodies.
Neal + Wolf is a professional care brand created by Neil Capstick. With over 20yrs experience in the industry, Neil has come up trumps with his debut line of products. I truly hope this range expands in the near future!
The products smell AMAZING, oh my gosh I can’t begin to explain to you how good these smell. They smell so expensive and evocative, I am cast away to a high end salon every time I hop in the shower. They smell exactly the same as Givenchy’s Ange Ou Demon which is my absolute favourite perfume! The products were developed in conjunction with a perfume house so it only goes to say that the products will have a high end signature scent.
The Ritual Daily Cleansing Shampoo is a light and gentle daily use shampoo. In a clear gel, with minimal lather, you feel like your hair is clean without feeling stripped and rough. If you leave it there, the smell lingers in the hair throughout the day. The shampoo isn’t as moisturising as I’d like but as a daily use, it’s perfect as it doesn’t add a build up and although it isn’t labelled as a clarifier, on a daily basis it handles product removal well.
The Harmony Intensive Care Treatment has the same scent and works as a great daily conditioner. It’s not going to blow you away with instant repairing results but I have peroxide blonde processed hair, there’s only so much conditioners can do!! On my healthy top and mid ends, my hair feels glossy and sleek without being weighed down by a heavy conditioner. The product feels luxe on application and I think when I have a trim this will become a firm favourite!
The Guard Heat Protection is a god send. Despite smelling like root beer in the bottle, as soon as you spritz your hair you are again met with the same recurring scent as the rest of the line, which is reassuring. The product stopped the ends of my hair feeling crisp and straw like after curling / straightening and let me slide my fingers through easily. I managed to use my irons on a lower heat setting on my curly hair, thanks to this product the irons just glide through my hair.
Overall, in this range, I think it is crying out for a deep conditioning treatment, leave in conditioner or nourishing oil (with the same scent of course) as I think it is a corner of the market that it is missing as I’d like to use a full start to finish system from one brand.
I really really enjoyed using the range and I’m pleased to see a line having a congruent scent across the products as it can be a bit too much if everything has a different scent. It can be a bit overpowering.
