What Katie Did #24

Hello Lovelies,

What a week in Tramp Towers! It’s been a week of ups and downs but mostly ups.. oh and of course the armageddon to hit Newcastle this week.. more on that in a jiffy….

This week has been busychops to say the least. I tried a great new Lebanese restaruant with a friend then dragged Mr Tramp back to try it so it gets his thumbs up, yum!

I tried to up my usual 5k to 10k… I managed it, very slowly, but boy was I a bit achey the next day… I think i’ll build up to doing it again gently rather than push myself too far. I’m still running 5k 3/4 times a week though so it’s not all bad is it!

On Thursday I was very kindly treated to experience eyebrow threading at the Blink brow bar. I’ll be honest, the shaping was abysmal and i’m quite unhappy with it, BUT, the actual experience was great.

With our shiny new brows, Daniella and I then skipped on over to a fantastic Benefit event. Great fun and super interesting as always… needless to say we didn’t leave empty handed which was just as well considering on Thursday, Newcastle and the rest of the north east were battered by a biblical onslaught of freak weather. A monumental deluge of rain, lightening and just all round general scariness ensued when the vast majority of the City Centre was submerged underwater during what I’m not ashamed to say, was quite possibly the scariest 3hrs of my life! You can check out some of the pictures and tweets over on Twitter using #toonfloods

It took me 2 1/2 hours to do a 20 minute journey!

I thought seeing as this was all over the news, I’d leave you with some pictures….

Wow, that weather is scary, the photo of the lightening hitting the bridge actually just freaked me out a bit, I hate bridges at the best of times. xx

I still can’t get over these photos. All my friends at home were saying how mental the weather was, I’m just glad everyone was ok. Huge congrats on the 10k, I am nowhere near 5k yet so I’m inspired to step it up a bit x
