If you ever hear me talking, you will know how proud I am to be from Durham. A Durham lass born and bred, damned proud of not only our beautiful history city, but the county itself. When I finally got the chance to visit Raby Castle again recently, I knew I had to share it with you all!
We have visited Alcatraz before and were blown away. The most infamous prison in the world sits within the National Park Service and is ran as a museum and tourist attraction.
The only way to get to The Rock is by boat so I had to put my brave girl pants on and step on board.
We recently spent a few nights at the Courtyard at Fishermans Wharf to start off our huge American road trip.
With close proximity to tourist attractions and parking available, it was a sure fire winner….
When you are reading this, I will just about be taking off from Newcastle Airport on the start of our exciting road trip around America.
