Perfect A/W ’13 boots with Timberland, Jules B, Clarks and Schuh

Perfect A/W ’13 boots with Timberland, Jules B, Clarks and Schuh

Hello Lovelies,

As autumn, and ultimately winter, draws ever closer, I turn my attention to finding gorgeous boots perfect for kicking russet leaves and keeping my toots warm in the striking cold.

I am a huge fan of chunky, masculine utilitarian boots, paired with a pair of skinny jeans or a girly dress for a hard edge to an outfit.
One of my favourite brands to give me this look is Timberland.  Beautifully crafted, well made and environmentally savvy, the brand delivers beautiful footwear to tickle my fancy time and time again.
This year, Jules B, a boutique in Jesmond, Newcastle upon time has got a great range of boots on offer for both men and women and these are my ultimate favourites.

Don’t worry though, men haven’t been left out this autumn at Jules B, check out these gorgeous men’s boots. The tweed ones would make a great nod to the heritage trend, if worn with a Barbour and cords.
From elsewhere on the web, I am having major boot lust over these beauties too! Oh hurry up pay day, I need them ALL.

Mojita Sorbet | £89.99 | Clarks

Timberland is available from Jules B both online and in one of their 3 Northern boutiques in Jesmond, Yarm or Kendal.  If you are in the area, I fully recommend a visit to Jules B… oh the bags, the beautiful high end bags they sell. Be still my beating heart.
How would you style a pair of these chunky boots? Let me know!

Modalu Bags at Collectables

Modalu Bags at Collectables

Hello Lovelies,

Here in the North East, Collectables is a local institute. Once home to figurines and fine china, Collectables has, over the decades, morphed in to a central hub of all things you want to buy! In the Metro Centre alone, we have the large Collectables store with china, gifts, jewellery and bags and my personal favourite place, the cook shop store. I can’t walk passed without going in and dropping some serious money on kitchen goodies. It’s a curse. While browsing the Collectables website for more Yankee Candles, I found myself mooching over to the Modalu bag section. I really like Modalu bags. Their A/W range is now in stock online with Collectables and they are very covetable! You can pick up the best selling Pippa bag as well as my personal favourite, the Dickens Tote. Below is my top pick, from Collectables, for A/W13 Modalu bags.

Modalu Dickens Large Tote in Camel – £295

Modalu Daisy Bowling Bag – £79.99

Modalu Pippa 3 Compartment Floral – £295

Modalu bags are well made from Leather and really represent great quality for money, even more so if you can pick up a sale bargain such as the bowling bag above. I won’t share with you how many candles I have just ordered online from Collectables… Mr Tramp might be reading this and i’m better of sneaking them in to the house with stealth. Just call me the candle ninja!

Which is your favourite bag from the Modalu selection?

Shoe lust with Hunter Millbank

Shoe lust with Hunter Millbank

Hello Lovelies,

Seeing as we are now passed the Glorious 12th, thoughts of autumn and appropriate footwear start seeping in to my subconscious.

While perusing the Hunter website as per usual, I spotted the most amazing shoes I have ever seen. Not entirely practical for me standing in a field knee deep in mud for hours on end BUT, bloody smart for rainy September afternoons.

Hunter-Festival-Millbank-Review

I am absolutely OBSESSED with the neon pink Millbank Hunter boots. A cross between a baseball boot and a welly, the Millbank has neon, rubber AND studs. Who could resist that?

At a handsome £89.00 available from Hunter, I think I will be snapping these up come pay day!

These are also available in other neon colours

Do you like these? Yay or Nay?

Rockabilly Wedding Outfits

Rockabilly Wedding Outfits

Hello Lovelies,

If you haven’t already seen my post on our Las Vegas rockabilly wedding, you can read it HERE.

I thought I would do a break down and show you what we wore to our big kitsch day as lots of people had asked for it on Twitter. You can see pictures of us actually wearing our wedding outfits in the Wedding thread too.My favourite part of my whole outfit had to be my Links of London 20/20 necklace. As my Mam couldn’t be there, it was nice to have a little piece of her with me, as I bought us matching 20/20 necklaces last summer when my father passed away. You can see the post HERE

Vintage replica dress   |   ebay – Crazy Vixens (£39.99)

Net Underskirt (not seen)   |   Amazon (£15 – Various colours + sizes)

Black & Grey leopard print Vans   |   MandMdirect (£19.99)
Red hair orchid   |   Bettie Page (£7 – In Store)
Stripe Clutch   |   New Look (£12.99)
Necklace   |   Links of London 20/20 interlocking (£130)
Lips   |   Lime Crime Velvetine – Red Velvet (£10.50)
Sunglasses (not seen)   |   Ray-Bans (£100)

Flamingo Print Shirt   |   Asda (£10) – Sold out but similar available in Primark

Black narrow leg jeans   |   Burtons (£28)
Stars & Stripes Converse   |   Converse (£25 – bought in America)
Sunglasses (not seen)   |   Oakley Cross Hair

So as you can see, we certainly didn’t have a traditionally dressed vow renewal wedding and I always knew I didn’t want to wear white!

What would you wear to a Rockabilly wedding? Is Black too bold for a traditional wedding?

Beach Cover Ups with New Look

Beach Cover Ups with New Look

 Hello Lovelies,

When summer comes round, I usually aim to have at least one beach holiday where I can lie by the pool and forget all my stress back at home.

For the trip down to the pool or when the day turns chilly into early evening, I like to have a selection of cover ups. I know there is a huge selection to suit everyones taste, style and budget but I prefer kaftans. They are floaty and keep you cool as well as suitably taking you from day to night after the beach.
I like to wear shorter length kaftans with denim or linen shorts for sightseeing and day trips as you don’t get too hot if you have to cover your shoulders and be more modest for cultural visits and if you get the chance to cool off in the sea or pool, a kaftan can act as a beach mat, towel and top as they dry so quickly!

Drawstring kaftans can look sexy at a beach bar undone to show off a bit of cleavage as you’re sampling the local cocktails to cool down. Long gone are the dowdy frumpy styled kaftans, they are big news baby!

I keep the same staple pieces year in year out but this year New Look are stocking some fantabulous pieces that you should check out if you are on the hunt for a cover up.

Pink & yellow open kaftan
£24.99 New Look
My absolute favourite – White Lil kaftan | £39.99 New Look

Zebra Print kaftan | £25.99 New Look

What do you like to wear as a beach cover up?
