You might have heard of Proven Goods Co from their very popular Quayside Market stall or their weekly counter top residency at Kith and Kin (Thursday fyi) but did you know they have opened their own premises in the heart of Ouseburn?
Proven Goods Co have opened a sweet little cafe area to the front of their unit at Hoults Yard which serves coffees, today’s freshest doughnuts and of course, the best hot chocolate.
The flame grilled Fluff Hot Chocolate (£3.80) is an absolute delight if you have a sweet tooth as it hits the spot. The steaming hot luxurious chocolate hides below the gooey marshmallow fluff and chocolate shavings. I paired mine with a Biscoff Doughnut as a weekend treat.
My biggest problem with a lot of hot chocolates is it’s just expensive hot water and powder mixed together. We know it is, they know it is and there’s no effort put in to it so it just says sad. No one wants sad hot chocolate, right?
The Proven Goods Co gang have managed to make the chocolate dreamy and moreish and the fluff topping is the icing on the cake.
