As September is rapidly approaching thoughts are turning to Autumn already. Crisp air, crunchy leaves and muddy walks in the countryside. Comfortable shoes don’t need to be fugly so I have picked up the Dr Martens Lesley Analine for A/W2017.
Although not designed as a functional walking boot, the Dr Martens Lesley Analine is perfect for weekend walks, puddle jumping and kicking leaves. The sturdy, famous Dr Martens build will keep me protected and comfortable but still look funky enough to be styled for a day shopping in town. That’s the beauty of Dr Martens.
I have been breaking the Dr Martens Lesley Analine in with thick socks, wearing them with my jeans rolled up to the ankle to show off the lacing detail. I ordered a size up so I know I could fit nice thick warm socks on.
As the soles aren’t the usual robust as the usual boot style and the leather isn’t quite as stiff, which are both good things because I tried to break in a pair of lace up DMs before and they destroyed my feet. I know everyone says you have to power through and then they will be like gloves but I wimped out.
I’m hoping the Dr Martens Lesley Analine boots will be like dipping my toe back in to the DM pool.
I can’t wait for the weather to turn so I can get more wear out of them, between my hiking boots and these, I think my new season shoe selection is spot on!
