Boscia Jelly Ball Cleanser

Boscia Jelly Ball Cleanser

I can’t resist something odd looking, so I was drawn to this black jelly ball of curiosity when I was shopping. The Boscia Jelly Ball Cleanser is a quirky new way to cleanse your face, that’s for sure.

An American brand with Japanese influences, Boscia products are all preservative free which is great for sensitive skins. The brand is also free from ethanol, alcohol, bactericides, artificial fragrance, synthetic colourants, animal ingredients, mineral oil and gluten. So all in all the Boscia Jelly Ball Cleanser gets a thumbs up already for being accessible for everyones skin care needs.

Tackling the Boscia Jelly Ball Cleanser for the first time takes a bit of jiggery pokery – literally. The ball is packed in to a thin condom-like protective balloon that needs to be burst before first use. It was a bit nerve wracking prodding this squishy ball with a pointy stick!

Once unleashed, the cleanser is a firm gelatinous ball that’s easy to work with. Under running water, the ball lathers well in your hands  which you can then apply to your face to cleanse. I like to cup it in my palm and then gently roll it all over my face. It feels satisfyingly cool to the touch.

The scent is faintly medicinal but doesn’t linger on the skin.

The sphere is a charcoal based cleanse which works on the skin to purify it. Toxins and dirt are removed while the Indica Seed Gum soothes irritated skin. It is packed with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamins A + C.

The Boscia Jelly Ball Cleanser makes pretty light work of lips, eyes and eyebrows without stinging but heavy foundation does take a little bit of work to get off completely. You do end up feeling clean and refreshed without any tightness.

I thought it would be completely gimmicky and crap to use but I have been using this every night for 6 weeks now and I like it.  I want to try more from the Boscia range now!

Have you tried the Boscia Jelly Ball Cleanser or anything else from the Boscia range?

I like the look of this! It reminds me a little of the Konjac sponges
