Every now and then, we all need to be hands free and toting your handbag round is the worst thing ever. Right? This is why I have jumped on the ASOS Backpack style.
I have been struggling with sciatica recently and I found carrying my usual bags on one side really killing my back after a long day so I was on the hunt for a ‘smart’ rucksack.
I have plenty of rucksacks for travel and casual jaunts but I wanted something a little more refined for days out and even lugging round to meetings with clients.
I was struggling to find one that was both smart and practical whilst avoiding any 90s flashbacks with drawstrings!
I spotted this gorgeous oyster grey faux leather backpack on the ASOS website HERE reduced from £30 to £15 so I snapped it up immediately.
It is a gorgeous shade and the bag is structured enough to be practical and smart without looking too slouchy and off duty.I did worry that once I received it the straps were a little flimsy but fear not, I loaded my trust bag up with all my junk and headed off to Edinburgh at the weekend to explore and it did a stellar job.
The weight was distributed equally and I can safely say that it is the first time in a VERY long time that I haven’t been doubled over with backpain by the end of the day (Can’t say the same thing about my travelling companion and her fully loaded tote bag!)
The outside pocket is spacious enough to put your bits and bobs in and there’s a zipped inner pocket too. I felt my stuff was safely tucked away behind the big sturdy zip which is something I didn’t like about drawstring bags.
The ASOS Backpack even looks smart if you carry it with the grab handle, looking more like a typical handbag.
The backpack is gorgeous!
