Valentines Week – Travel

Valentines Week – Travel

Hello Lovelies,

Day 2 in the love fest that is Valentine’s week and we bring you travel today, for all those dirty weekends, relaxing breaks without the kids or a girls weekend away for single solidarity.

Here are my top picks, near and far!

The Amari Orchid in Pattaya, Thailand is a beach front luxury property in a popular resort. Flights over to Bangkok are quite bargainous right now so this would a perfect splurge if you are planning on proposing in an exotic setting. This is on my list to try as Mr Tramps brother lives in Pattaya!

The Corinthia in London  is a centrally located hotel in the heart of London, built in 1885 boasting views of the River Thames. Offering an afternoon tea or spa break special offer just in time for Valentines Day. Combined with a show, or girly shopping, it’s a winner. The spa is insane though, I could spend days in there!

DFDS Seaways are currently offering 2 for 1 on their ferry crossings from Newcastle to Amsterdam which can turn a small budget in to a great weekend in Europe. With museums, culture and as much rudie things as you can shake a stick at! Despite living so close to the ferry terminal we are yet to take advantage of this, every year we say we are going to book up and something gets in the way ( Mr Tramp is currently working abroad!)

If you are looking for something to do on Valentines Weekend but don’t know what, why not try www.lastminute.com. You can book everything from a week in Dubai to a ticket to see Wicked the musical with everything in between!

You can make GREAT savings using their Top Secret Hotel offer and if you do a bit of digging and pin pointing on a map, you can usually work out which hotel it is!

Venturing north in to Scotland, Norton House Hotel, part of the Handpicked Hotels chain is divine. A mix of historic old house with brand new ultra modern facilities. Located a short 5 minute drive from a park + ride in to the city you can enjoy the nightlife, shopping or just soaking in the atmosphere. The hotel has an amazing spa too!

We have stayed in a normal room, the Edinburgh Suite and the Kingdom Suite. My personal favourite was the Edinburgh Suite and if your budget allows, I whole heartedly recommend you booking it.

The restaurant is possibly one of the nicest we have ever dined in… and we dine out a LOT.

Last but by no means least, heading down to Yorkshire, Raithwaite Hall stands a mere stones throw from historic Whitby. You can read my full review of the hotel HERE

For the boys, you can book activities with the near by such as off roading and shooting with Yorkshire Outdoors

Or why not indulge in their 2 night spa break with meals and treatments included. I hope Mr Tramp is reading this. A massage and a days shooting would be perfect – hint hint.

Well I hope I have given you a few ideas, be it home or abroad, near or far. I’m sure however you celebrate Valentines Day, it will be perfect.
