Benefit Sugarbomb boxed blush

Benefit Sugarbomb boxed blush

Hello Lovelies,

I’ve been on the quest for the perfect blusher for years. Having high colouring on my cheeks, some colours just don’t work for me.

Luckily, the colour I crave the most is a gorgeous bold peachy coral which will work well with my skin tone.

For a while I had been musing over Coralista but at the end of the day, £23.50 for a blusher in a cardboard box was a little bit pricey in my opinion. Thankfully, Benefit have changed their old packaging of the pull off lid and replaced it with a hinged cardboard lid, making touch ups on the go much easier as the product is supplied with a little brush (which is actually quite good!) and a mirror in the lid.

Recently I had the opportunity to try Sugarbomb and Coralista on 1 cheek each so that I could decide which I preferred and I have to say, as much as I had lusted after Coralista, the Sugarbomb won for me.

Containing 4 complimentary, shimmery shades in 1 block, you have a multi purpose blush selection using any of the 4 seperately, in pairs or together. When put like that, the £23.50 doesn’t seem quite so bad does it? I’m undecided. The shimmery finish you get from Sugarbomb isn’t over the top or too gritty which makes this a lovely, delicate blush to wear every day or applied with a heavier hand for night.

Not only does the blush apply beautifully over bare foundation, you can alter the dept and tone of colour by applying it over a base colour. In the kit I bought, I received a free posietint (pale pink cheek stain) but as pink isn’t my colour, I have been wearing it over the Benefit Cha Cha Tint for a more coral look or over Chanel’s Bronze Universal for a bronzed glow. Either way, it’s such a versatile gorgeous colour.

Am I glad I finally bought a Benefit blush? Yes! Do I still think they are overpriced? Yes. Will I re-purchase? probably yes! So there you go, me being as fickle as ever but I have found a gorgeous, highly versatile blush.

Benefit blush is so expensive but so good! My coralista has nearly run out but think I’ll try to find a less expensive dupe for it in the mean time! X

This looks completely lovely! I do really like Benefit blushes – I have Dallas at the moment which is slightly too dark for me but I do still like it a lot. Sugarbomb looks completely fab and I love the fact you get four shades in one! x
