What Katie Did #23

Hello Lovelies,

Have you all had a good week?

Nice and quiet one in Tramp Towers this week and oddly, no events! It’s been quite relaxing!

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank each and every one of my amazing Twitter readers who tweeted me their support and well wishes on Friday when we had a bit of a family emergency and had to call the ambulance for my 91yr old grandma. I have deleted most of the Tweets now though to keep it off Twitter but you will all be pleased to know she is A-OK and got treated at home and is on the mend. My Grandma is hardcore, she’s proper rock & roll so everything is good. Again, thank you all.

Other than that, it’s been a quiet week, all I have done is shop shop shop shop though! I am now the proud owner of some size 18 Primark skirts though which is just a great testament to the hard work I have been putting in at the gym and with Slimming world.

After a huge haul in New Look, Asda and Primark.. I think I have got all my holiday bits sorted and for the rest of the summer, if it ever appears.

I have been invited as a VIP guest to the Ladies Day races, so Partner In Crime and I will be frocked up and looking hot. I have a month to finalise my outfit. I have the perfect dress all ready. I just need to find a nice hat or fascinator! I’m organised for once!

I thought I’d mention the weather too, it has been insane hasn’t it? Today we have swung from baking sun to torrential rain. Needless to say our local river has spectacularly burst its banks… so I’ve included a few snaps of that!

I hope you all have a great week. See you next Sunday!!

    Still loving those shoes!

I’m sorry to hear about your grandmother – I’m glad she is on the mend.

Oh no I didn’t see the tweets about your grandmother but I’m so glad she is ok.
Which races are you going? =)

Newcastle… should be interesting. Hubby goes every year with work for corporate hospitality. I haven’t been before!

I grew up with ‘horsey’ folk so all the racing i’ve seen has been on a track with jeans, wellies and a barbour coat on!
