Marc by Marc Jacobs Earrings

Marc by Marc Jacobs Earrings

Hello Lovelies,

Bit of an odd post today, I want to show you my favourite Marc Jacobs earrings. I sometimes think twice about posting ‘designer’ items as I don’t want to appear braggy or boastful. Any “high end” purchase I make always has a heavy caveat that I have worked exceptionally hard in my 2 jobs to pay for my goodies. Yes, I have a full time job and run a business too!

Many of you probably won’t know this but I have 2 large ‘tunnels’ in each ear. They were previously 24mm but now they are a more practical 10mm each. Having long hair, they are usually pretty unnoticeable but as I get older, I’m not quite as keen on flashing them off in certain circumstances so I find disguising them to be most effective until I am ready to remove them totally.

Finding plain and simple, classic earrings that size is next to impossible so when I spotted these lovely little Marc by Marc Jacobs earrings I had to snap them up. I wear them with a large backed butterfly to hold them in place and voila, you’d never know I had tunnels.

It might be a squeamish topic for most…. But I love finding these great little work rounds. Yes I do sometimes miss wearing cute earrings but that’s the choice I made a long time ago…. I always have 5 other smaller holes to choose from 😉

I have these little beauties in several colours to match all eventualities. I always wear them for my business meetings as I try to stay label / brand free in my working environment but a little flash of Marc is never a bad thing is it! I sometimes think things emblazoned by designer logos is a little distasteful and sadly, I also feel the bigger the logo, the more it looks fake. Does that even make sense?

Of course I am well aware how many people may hate tunnels… but I like them, as do millions of other people so if you don’t like them, please don’t leave any negativity in the comments…. I’ve heard it all before and I expect more than that from all my gorgeous readers.

Do you have any clever, fashion tips and tricks?

This post really interested me because I have the same issue. I used to have one huge tunnel which has now shrunk but is still far too big for regular earrings. I do the same sort of thing with big backs and large earrings. I’d love to own some marc Jacobs ones at some point x

It’s great wearing hoops through the tunnels, and as proud as I am for my modifications, there definitely is times when its just easier to cover up. Gotta love big butterfly backs like, haven’t you!!

Very clever! I’m stretching mine at the moment, only going to 10mm. Nice seeing a post like this too as its not something you usually see 🙂

I’ve ummed and aahed about posting on my body mods after an early early comment from a reader called me disgusting for showing a lip shot which included my labrets. They said I wasn’t fit to be a role model.

      You have to laugh!

Really clever idea! I wouldn’t have them done myself as I like to wear my hair up a lot and I know some employers can be funny. The earrings are gorgeous though. Love how you have them in lots of colours.
    xx

I’m very lucky that my current employers are very tolerable.. and in IT in general we are all a relaxed old bunch but first impressions count. All my piercings come out for interviews!
