Karbon Grill – Sunderland

Karbon Grill Sunderland Review

Walking in to Karbon Grill, you could easily be in an upscale Manhattan restaurant rather than slap bang opposite the Sunderland football ground! With industrial touches and an pinterest-worthy overload of rose gold and copper, the whole vibe is a million miles away from it’s actual location. With a nod to it’s actual northern industrial home, the name Karbon is to reflect the heavy industry in Sunderland.

Carter & Fitch, Washington

Carter & Fitch Washington

Tucked away in the George Washington Hotel, Carter & Fitch is a new heavy hitter on the South of Tyne dining scene. Given the size of Washington and the captive audience of hotel guests, restaurants have always been lacking in the area.

DFDS Sunderland Air Show Sailing

DFDS Sunderland Air Show Sailing

The Italian Farmhouse – West Rainton, Durham

The Italian Farmhouse – West Rainton, Durham

The Italian Farmhouse is based in West Rainton which is a small village a mere 5 minute drive outside of Durham City centre, just off the A690 with access to both the A1 and A19.

We rocked up at 1.55 on a Saturday lunch time and lunch is stopped at 2.30. We weren’t hopeful as it was a spur of the moment visit but we were welcomed in and seated by the very pleasant, chatty staff.
