A spin off from the large North East butcher chain, the restaurant ticks all the boxes for industrial, trendy bare bones décor in a former garage workshop. Managed by the crew behind the Sambucca restaurant in Durham, the Fat Butcher Steak House offers a relatively simply meat based menu. Steaks, Grills and burgers are the order of the day.

With industrial touches and an pinterest-worthy overload of rose gold and copper, the whole vibe is a million miles away from it’s actual location. With a nod to it’s actual northern industrial home, the name Karbon is to reflect the heavy industry in Sunderland.
