The Rosebery Hotel, Jesmond, Newcastle

The Rosebery Hotel Jesmond Newcastle Review

The Rosebery Hotel – Tucked away in a leafy crescent in Jesmond, you’ll find a healthy mix of family homes and student digs. What you don’t expect to find is Newcastle’s most stylish hotel.

With the bustling social scene of Jesmond and West Jesmond a mere stones throw away and instant access to the Coast Road, the hotel is the ultimate base for days sight seeing, nights socialising.

Bowes Railway, Springwell, Gateshead

Bowes Railway, Springwell, Gateshead

I wonder how many people travel passed Bowes Railway on a daily basis but never stop? I was guilty of that, daily for 5yr and recently we fixed that thanks to an open day!

The Bowes Railway was built to bring coal from the pits of Durham right down to the coast. Having grown up in Beamish, we had the remnants of ‘the line’ which now forms part of the C2C route. The same line is also still operational, at Tanfield just outside of Stanley.
