If you can remember our first visit to St Mary’s Inn back at the end of 2014, you’ll remember us saying how much we wanted to stay over. Given the creepy nature of the property and fact the rooms look beautiful, we booked up to stay in February as a very much needed relaxing weekend.
Our room, Sweethope Loughs, was £90 for bed and breakfast for us both. When booking, I specifically asked for a view of the now derelict hospital. Pretty odd, yes, but we do love Urbex sites like 28dayslater.co.uk.
With a love of all things macabre, tongue in cheek and historic there was no question that we would be going on the York Ghost Bus Tour on our recent visit to the city.
Having previously taken part in the Edinburgh Ghost Bus Tour and something similar in Dublin, we felt well prepared!

A family business for over 25 years, Joules has become synonymous with high quality. Almost being ruined by the 2001 Foot & Mouth epidemic due to most of the country shows being cancelled, the brand branched out in to stores.
