2015 Top Trend – Bold Trousers

Last year I went mad for floral and patterned jersey trousers and I am glad to see that there is no sign of the trend going away.

In 2015, the bold power trouser is going to be another key look and as always New Look Inspire have their finger on the pulse. From geometric checks to dainty floral, the power pants are here to stay!

New Look Inspire Bold Trouser Trend

1. Black Check Joggers   |   £22.99

2. Slim Leg Tile Print   |   £22.99

3. Printed Wide Leg   |   £19.99

4. Aztec Slim Legs   |  £17.99

5. Black Scratch Print   |   £19.99

6. Black Floral Print   |   £19.99

You can wear these trousers for the office, shopping or a night on the tiles just by switching your accessories and shoes around. Versatility with such a bold item means you can get the most use out your new season trousers.

I have been wearing the Black Check Joggers*  for work as they tick all the boxes for business smart casual but can be dresses up or down! You have to love things in your wardrobe like that

Bonmarche – Ann Harvey Coat

Bon Marche Ann Harvey Coat 2

When the kind folk over at Bonmarche got in touch and asked if I could like to treat my Mam to a piece of clothing from their Autumn / Winter line I jumped at the chance.

My Mam is a loyal customer of Bonmarche’s for work wear basics and staples at an affordable price. You may remember she reviewed a coat back in 2013 HERE

Drawn to red coats, she picked the vibrant Ann Harvey contrast lined coat (£40)*

Simply Be 3 in 1 Waterproof Coat

Simply Be 3 in 1 coat
I picked this 3 in 1 coat up in the sales at Christmas in Simply Be for £55 and it was just what I was looking for. I wanted a coat to keep in the car ready for those bad weather days that creep up on us and for impromptu long wintery country walks. I spend a lot of time outside and it is often quite hard to find plus size waterproof items.

I find a lot of waterproof coats are either drab or “cheap” looking so I have been hunting high and low. This one from Simply Be has a demure base of navy blue but lifted with the addition of cute polka dots. It is purely for casual wear which I think is perfect. Coming into the spring the outer jacket will be perfect for April showers and it has a touch of nautical chic.

The 3 in 1 construction of the coat means I have a light weight fleece, a light weight water proof coat or when worn together, a thick warm water proof coat. The 3 in 1 coats really offer brilliant value for money.

You can buy similar from Simply Be

Lingerie from Liz McClarnon

Lingerie from Liz McClarnon

Hello Lovelies,

I will openly admit I fail pretty badly at wearing match underwear every day. Most days I’ll be lucky if they are the same colour let alone anything else.

Every so often I splurge and treat myself to some new pieces to see me through. It’s usually spring and autumn… pale light for spring and summer and dark richer tones for autumn and winter.

I saw these pieces from the new Liz McClarnon underwear range for Fashionworld and fell in love. I have one of Liz’s designed swimsuits so I have made a wish list from her new line which contains a red tartan set and a white swallow print set.

Tartan Balcony Bra – £24
Tartan Briefs – £12
(Also available – Tartan Plunge Bra)

Bird Print Bra – £24
Bird Print High Waisted Briefs – £14
(Also available – Bodyshaper)

This wish list serves me well as it’s my 8th wedding anniversary soon and 8 is meant to be Bronze, Salt, Linen or Lace… so let’s hope Mr Tramp takes note of the last two eh!
