A mere 20 minutes outside the hubbub of Newcastle City Centre sits Matfen Hall. A well-established luxury hotel and wedding venue in the region not only does a pretty snappy Pink Afternoon Tea, they host it in their 2 AA Rosette Library restaurant.
As it is officially Afternoon Tea Week, I thought I’d share with you a new twist on the standard offering from The Vermont Hotel. The Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea (£19.95) focuses more on the savoury side of the event and as I don’t have a sweet tooth, let me tell you, I bloody loved it.
This is a revisit review for us today of the White Monk Tea Room. As one of our all time favourite places to go for a drive and a bit of fresh air, Blanchland is not only the prettiest little place you ever did see, but they also have a cracking tea room AND a very nice pub.
If you are looking for a special afternoon tea in the area, you can’t get much better than sitting atop of an iconic building with the Quayside laid out before you. SIX at the Baltic occupies the top floor for lunch, dinner and Afternoon Tea.
