Glossier Priming Moisturizer

Glossier Priming Moisturizer

After absolutely loving the Balm dot com by Glossier, I’ve branched out to try the Priming Moisturizer (£18).

I’m sitting firmly on the fence with this one, and here’s why…..

When you think of a Priming Moisturizer you at least expect it to do one of those 2 things well. Right? I really can’t decide if this fits the bill but I’m happy to be proven wrong.

With a very light liquid texture, the Priming Moisturizer does actually apply like a dream. It’s almost scent free, the thin texture helps it soak in rapidly and it doesn’t drag or pull at sensitive skin. Sounds good so far?

With a very impressive ingredient list for key benefits, it’s definitely worth trying.

Hyaluronic Acid

Gives that cushiony effect through mega hydration.

Mushroom Super Hydrator

A powerful plant extract that visibly plumps skin and provides deep moisture.

Anti-Redness Complex

A soothing mix of tea and honey extracts that quickly and visibly reduces redness while calming skin.

Oxygenating Agent

Suppliess stressed skin cells with oxygen, significantly improving texture.

Antioxidant Blend

Vitamins A, C, E, and radish root help protect against skin damage.

My skin goes through waves of being dry and parched to going back to ‘normal’. Whilst my skin didn’t feel nourished during dry spells it didn’t feel overloaded on good days either, just middle of the road moisturised. I didn’t notice any difference to my skin or skincare regime but it was incredibly kind to my skin. No breakouts or flare ups.

Did the Priming Moisturizer make my make up last any longer? No. My blush felt like it retained it’s pop of colour for a bit longer but that’s it. I tested with lightweight sheer coverage right up to thick full coverage heavy duty.

Whilst I don’t think the Priming Moisturizer has added anything to my skincare or make up routine, I’ve still been using it as it’s a good 2 in 1 to use on lazy days or for travel.

Maybe I should try the Priming Moisturizer Rich formulation next but if you are looking for a great 2 in 1 product, I suggest the In Transit Camera Close Up by This Works which I reviewed here.

The Glossier Priming Moisturizer may work really well for other skin types and I’d love to know if you’ve tried it too!
