The Husband got me a subscription for my birthday this year and quite honestly this has been the best gift ever. Each Thursday we are excited to get home for our next box!
Starting out as a Kickstarter project, Cheese Posties was born and on a mission to deliver hot cheesy lushness to your door. The basic concept is similar to Graze or even beauty boxes. You sign up for a subscription, make your basic choices and then sit patiently waiting by your letter box!
With 30 flavours to choose from, split over sweet and savoury and veggie friendly there is something for everyone.
The delivery box has been specially designed to fit through your letter box and contains everything you need to make 1 toastie. All the ingredients are there for you including the butter for toasting, if you don’t have a sandwich press or toastie maker there’s even a toaster bag included so you can use your toaster. They’ve thought of everything.
I prefer to use a frying pan as they seem to suit that method the best and it smells delicious while it is cooking. Everything comes prepared and sealed so if you really do want to miss something out you have the option to do it during assembly.
My only gripe is that there’s only 1 toastie in the kit. If you are a couple you’ll have to buy 2 kits if you both want to be fancy…. or like us we have half the gourmet toastie and half a normal one to balance it out! I know a double thickness kit wouldn’t fit through the door but I’m not sure if I ordered 2 kits each week if they’d be the same flavour!
Each kit comes with its very own Cheese Posties top trumps card, loyalty stamps and of course fun instructions to pimp up your plain grilled cheese.
For all the Cheese Posties sounds like a fun and frivolous thing, they work very closely with a charity called Marys Meals which for every kit bought, ensures a child in need receives 1 full meal. Not many other small start ups set out so strongly supporting charity so hats off to Cheese Posties!
We are 3 toasties in to our subscription and our favourite has been the The Number 25 – Monterey Jack, Wasabi and Teriyaki sauce. Doesn’t sound like it should work but it was bloody delicious.
