At one time I’d have laughed at you if you spent £10 on a bottle of spritzy water for your face. Since trying the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, I can’t be parted with it. I’ve become THAT person!
Want to know why I am obsessed? Read on!
Packed with 100% natural ingredients, the Caudalie Beauty Elixir is a bit of a cult classic in the beauty world.
With Grapes to boost radiance and moisture, Rose + Myrrh to tone and Rosemary to energise this bottle of liquid lushness is a treat for the skin. Heralded to tighten pores and enhance radiance there must be a reason that this is so beloved?
There has been no tightening of my pores or smoothing of my fine lines but using the Caudalie Beauty Elixir I look glowy and radiant. Applying liberally all over my face so it is quite wet, I buff my foundation on. I wear a full coverage matte foundation and when it is buffed on to the moist skin something magical happens. Daily I am on the fine line between matte and dewy and just awake. Placebo effect? I don’t know but I’m not planning on stopping.
The major draw for me is the scent. Thanks to the Rosemary, the Caudalie Beauty Elixir smells very medicinal and soothing. When I am feeling a bit run down or had a rough day a spritz of this makes me feel calm and restored. That to me is worth more than any skin care properties! As I have documented before I am incredibly sensitive skin and a sensitivity to fragrance in products but I can happily say this is perfectly fine for me.
It is heaven if you have a head cold and you are going through that hot and cold phase with dry tight skin from all the nose blowing! If you have over set your make up with powder, this is a handy spray to keep on hand to settle things down too.
My only criticism of the Caudalie Beauty Elixir is that it comes in a glass bottle. Yes for the £10 it feels luxe and high end but I am far too afraid to carry this around for travels. I have tried decanting it but I lose patience with it.
I bought backups in a Parisian pharmacy during my trip and it was great on the plane coming home, it stopped me being able to smell all those “interesting” smells you get from fellow passengers!
