Chanel Rouge Allure – 149 Elegante

Now there’s only a handful of purchases that make me joyful, time after time. If it’s not handbag related, it’s Chanel. From the customer service to the cute little bag and wrapping – It’s a pleasure.

When I found myself in front of a Chanel counter with a friend who was a Chanel virgin, I couldn’t resist a cheeky purchase so I picked up another Rouge Allure Lipstick in 149 Elegante (£26).

The Rouge Allure lipsticks boast intense colour and a lightweight texture. Feeling lightweight and slightly glossy luminosity on the lips, they are easy to wear throughout the day and definitely deliver a high impact pop of colour, depending on your shade.

I do find the edges aren’t as crisp as i’d like due to the texture but a lipliner solves that in no time. The sweet almond oil makes them comfortable to wear on top of a liner if you shade your full lips.

Chanel Rouge Allure Elegante definitely looks purple toned in the bullet but on me it is a really beautiful deep winey red colour with just the feintest hint of plum. The only thing I can describe it being similar to is a kidney bean which isn’t very glam now is it!

I have been craving deep berry lips this autumn but as they all tend to be matte, this was a refreshing change. Quite literally. It feels great and looks even better!
