Paul Mitchell Marula Oil Rare Oil Treatment

Paul Mitchell Marula Rare Oil Treatment

This summer has been tough on my poor old barnet. Not only have I had to endure heavy doses of bleach to correct an over zealous hairdresser’s mistake, I have been on holiday which included a few days in the offical hottest place on earth. All great for a bleach blonde eh?

The Paul Mitchell Marula Oil Rare Oil Treatment has saved my hair!

The Marula Oil has been found to have 50% more anti-oxidants than Argan Oil and as I bloody love pure Argan Oil, I was game to try the Marula Oil.

Marula promises to deliver up to 80% reduction in split ends, 80% improved condition and 80% more shine. Now as a blonde, the shine thing isn’t so obvious for me but what I have found is my hair is feeling stronger and sleeker when styled.

You can use the Marula Oil as a pre-shampoo treatment which is how I like to use it. I used 10 drops on the ends of my hair and leave it for 20 minutes or so before I shower and condition. That’s more than the recommendation but when your hair is like straw, is there too much of a good thing? I don’t think so!

I add a couple of drops prior to blow drying my hair to really add another boost of hydration and nourishment to the mid lengths and ends and the result is a sleeker, smoother and more defined style. On those inbetween days, a couple of drops on the ends will really bring back some smoothness to your ends and keep it tip top.

Sitting proudly on my dressing table in it’s sleek black bottle, the product does feel like a high end treat when I apply it and as the saying goes, your hair is the only crown you don’t take off.

I have been using the rest of the Marula Oil family which I will follow up with in another review but the oil really is the star of the show, if you can only afford 1 product from the line…. make it the oil

Do you use a hair oil?
