Minimal travel make up

minimal travel make up

I have been warned by the husband that I must pack light for our city break today as we are solely responsible for lugging our own bags on the ferry, coach and intercity train. No luggage trolleys for us! I tackled my travel make up kit first!

This is pretty much my usual go-to travel make up and just the selection I keep packed at all times. It means I can just grab it on a morning if I know I need to redo my make up at work or an impromptu over night stay crops up. I just pick it up and go. It always has a back up of my current foundation and back up brushes in it so it really is a grab and go pack.

I can pull out some pretty day time and evening looks from the KIKO eye stick (Shade 21) and eye shadow palette (Collection Nude Bronze) and I can add more bronzer (Benefit Hoola) and blush (Nars Deep Throat) to amp up the glam. The only thing that ever changes are my lippies but as I always have a zillion of them rolling round in my hand bag its no big deal.

I have forced myself to pick a red, a neutral and a tinted balm. That’s minimalist innit? The Chanel lipstick is Reuben Rose, the Clarins lip perfector is baby pink and the red is by Fleur de Force. I was really impressed by the quality of this when it landed on my desk. SO pigmented and easy to wear.

Is make up the one thing you’ll not cut back on, or do you have a streamlined set up for travel?
